| | Qualifications: | Associates Degree preferred although related credentials could be considered. Child |
| | Growth and Development class required. Ability to work independently and attention to |
| | detail a must. Some computer knowledge, particularly data entry. Ability to relate to a |
| | varied constituency. Familiarity with human service programs preferred. Familiarity with |
| | local child care programs preferred. Transportation required. Valid Driver’s License and |
| | ability to drive required. |
| | Description: | To act as part of a team to maximize access to child care programs. To be responsible for |
| | implementation of all Information and Referral services for child care in Region II. |
| | Maintain accurate records. |
| | Information and Referral Parent Counselor responsible for maintaining child care data |
| | base and providing information to parents seeking child care. Early Childhood Education |
| | is required as well as knowledge of computers. Some travel required. Ability to work |
| | independently is important as well. |
| | The person will manage the NACCR Aware database, contact child care providers and |
| | update information on a regular basis. The person will also give information regarding |
| | child care programs and referrals to providers to families requesting services. There will |
| | be periodic reports to be generated. Person will work to ensure the integrity of the data in |
| | the database and to ensure consistnecy in the data we collect with the I&R counselor |
| | based out of Fitchburg. Bilingual preferred. |
